So I'm going to put this reamer for the Moss 100 pedicle screw system down over the high head on the right side, the low head on the right side.
The high head on the left side.
And just make sure all the bone is red circumferentially in a polyaxial format. I come in with a head placer. It's a very simple system that's very approprioceptively facile. So step one is making sure I'm actually on the head of the screw. And so by duplicating that polyaxial smooth, I know it's metal and I can feel resistance at the tip and it's coney.
Around something. So I'm on there with my left hand. I'm gonna place it, push down, press this, and as I press with my thumb down, I'm lifting up on the handle and simultaneously lifting up on the patient. That validates that it's locked in place. We'll do the same exact thing. Now we'll go to rod placement. Drop the rod.
Discreetly into the heads, we attach this to the inner diameter.
And gently
Place the rod to within the head fluoroscopically.
Don't over tighten because as you rotate you'll torque your assembly. So just gently place this in, bring it to slight tension, back it up a little bit so you can still manipulate the rod as you need. Now we will go with a torque applier.
Gently put it over the inferior head, rotate it slightly to lock it in position. The driver goes down through it. I'm securing the line of the assembly.
With this anti-torque.
Secure the head.
Now we'll go to the compressor. It's a chopstick style compressor where this will go on the inferior aspect of my assembly. Gently squeeze while watching flora.
And tightens to torque and that's our compression step. Do the same exact thing on the left.
The head and the driver.
Gently secure it until it tightens back it out.
Gentle, rotate till lock and then back out.
Mm
Once again, I'm tight.
