We're going to go.
And we're going to place a little starter hole exactly on the lateral body of where L5 looks like it is. I'm going to go down to the contralateral side. Again, I'm going to use the lateral aspect of L5 as my position because that's going to set a line from pedicle to pedicle to pedicle if I were doing a multi-level case. Now I'm going to take this tap which is attached to a handle. It's off the Moss 100 pedicle screw system and I'm going to place.
The tap directly in that hole.
And then create an angle of attack that takes it down towards the sacroila.
OK, I've got my angle. I've got my penetration of outer cortical bone. I'll make 4 to 5 rotations, screw hole prepared on the right.
We do the same exact thing. This is the Moss 100 driver with the tool attachment in my hand so my hand can stay out of the flow. We'll take it down and place it to our starter hole and we'll deliver it all the way down to the stop point. Do the same thing on the left.
Take it down to.
The proximal starter hole within the pedicle we've got two well placed S1 screws. Now we'll go up to the superior line of L5.
Basically do the same exercise. We'll go a little lateral.
Well, I'm slightly vertical and medial.
Again with the driver for OS 100.
OK, all 4 screws are now in place.
Now in lateral fluoroscopic plane.
I'm going to adjust.
The screw heights.
